Mr. Dong joined ROC as Chief Reservoir Engineer in 2018. He has 32 years of diversified experience in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Dong was appointed as CO-President and COO of ROC in May 2022, and CO-CEO of ROC in February 2024. He is taken as Vice President of Hainan Mining Co., Ltd. now.
Prior to joining ROC, Mr. Dong was COO/VP of Technology at AAG Energy in China and spent 19 years at ConocoPhillips in various technical and management roles. Mr. Dong held positions of assistant engineer and engineer at China Coal Research Institute Xi'an Branch from 1992-1997. He holds a bachelor degree in Production Engineering from Xi'an Shiyou University in China and an MBA degree from Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School in 2012.
