WZ10-3 Oilfield Wellhead Platform Installation
Offshore Construction Progress
Platform Module Installation
Final Welding Completion
On April 8, with the successful placement of the topside module and the completion of transition section welding, the offshore installation of the wellhead platform in WZ10-3 West Oilfield was successfully completed.
Roc Oil adhered to the principles of scientific construction, lean management, and safety first, carrying out multiple rounds of technical and risk assessments in advance. The company carefully planned key offshore installation procedures such as jacket positioning, pile driving and grouting, and module lifting, optimizing the construction process. As a result, the offshore installation was completed smoothly, safely, and efficiently within a 16-day construction period.
The offshore installation scope included lifting and positioning of the jacket structure, pile lifting, splicing, driving and grouting, as well as lifting and welding of the topside module. The jacket weighed over 900 tons and stood approximately 45 meters high, with four steel piles totaling nearly 500 meters in length. The topside module weighed over 1,200 tons and stood around 15 meters high.
Located in the Beibu Gulf of the South China Sea, the Weizhou 10-3 West Oilfield presents high risks and significant challenges for offshore installation. Wind, waves, swells, and currents all impact the precision and safety of lifting and positioning operations. The successful completion of this offshore installation demonstrates Roc Oil’s comprehensive capabilities in managing high-risk offshore operations and lays a solid foundation for the early production of the oilfield.
Roc Oil will continue to follow scientific construction practices and lean management to complete the subsequent laying of subsea pipelines and cables, ensuring readiness for upcoming drilling operations. At the same time, the company is fully committed to accelerating the construction of the self-installing production and processing platform, striving for the high-quality, early production of the WZ10-3 West Oilfield.
