UK North Sea

HISTORY
  • In 1999, ROC purchased a suite of oil and gas assets in the UK, including some undeveloped fields in the North Sea.
  • ROC holds, through its 50% ownership of Croft Exploration Limited, a 0.1057% net profit interest in Licence P240 (Blocks 16/22a and 16/22b).
  • ROC also holds a 1% overriding royalty interest in exploration licences surrounding the Ardmore Field - Licences P1036, P1037, P1038 and P1126 (Blocks 30/24d, 30/24c, 30/24a and 30/29b respectively).
GEOLOGY
  • Palaeocene sand reservoirs in structural closure.
  • High quality oil.
PERMIT SIZE
  • Total 86km2 over 2 licences (13km2 net to ROC).
JV PARTICIPANTS AND INTERESTS
  • ROC, as a non-operating party, has interests in two licences and, within two of these licences, it has unitised interests in the Blane Oil Field and the Enoch Oil and Gas Field.  Click here for more detail.

ACTIVITY STATUS
  • Current exploration activity is minimal, as the Joint Venturers focus on development.
  • Block 16/13e contains the J1 gas/condensate discovery, a possible candidate for appraisal.
  • The Blane Oil Field and the Enoch Oil and Gas Field are currently in production.
