Senior Management 

Sheree Ford

GENERAL COUNSEL and COMPANY SECRETARY

Ms Ford joined ROC in 2003, and holds Bachelors of Law and Arts, Graduate Diploma of Resources Law and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Melbourne.

Ms Ford held positions of Corporate Counsel with Qantas Airways Limited and BHP Billiton Limited. Over her ten years with BHP Billiton Ms Ford acted as legal advisor on all aspects of the Company’s petroleum business both in Australia and overseas.


 

Kevin Hird
BSc (Hons), PhD, FGS

GENERAL MANAGER - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

 Dr Hird joined ROC in 1997. He has 20 years upstream oil and gas industry experience and two years as a stockbroking analyst. Dr Hird is responsible for new ventures, acquisitions, divestments and farmouts and ROC’s UK investor relations. He is currently based in London and Sydney.


 

John Mebberson
BSc

GENERAL MANAGER EXPLORATION

Mr Mebberson joined ROC in 1998 as a consultant before taking up several technical and management positions, most recently as Regional Manager, Australia & Asia.  As General Manager Exploration, he is responsible for exploration and geoscience activities.

Mr Mebberson has over 35 years oil and gas exploration experience, having  worked for Esso Australia Ltd from 1970 to 1992 in various geological and management positions covering Australian and US Gulf Coast interests.  Prior to joining ROC, he consulted to the industry, particularly in the Australian North-West Shelf, Sumatra, Kalimantan and the Philippines.

He has a Bachelor of Science from Sydney University and is a Past President of the NSW Branch of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia.


Alan Linn

ACTING CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Mr Linn joined ROC in January 2008 as Asset Manager - Africa and in August 2008 was appointed Acting Chief Operating Officer.   

Mr Linn is a chartered chemical engineer with 27 years of international operational and joint venture management experience in both the upstream and downstream oil sectors.  

Mr Linn spent 15 years working with EXXON/Mobil in both downstream and upstream assignments in the UK and USA before moving into the independent E & P oil sector working internationally for LASMO, Cairn Energy and Tullow in senior operational and business management roles.  

Before joining ROC, Mr Linn was Operations Director for African Arabian Petroleum, a privately owned E & P company headquartered in Dubai.  Based in Tunisia, Alan was responsible for all operational and engineering activities within the business' African focused portfolio.


Anthony Neilson
MBA, BComm, CA, FFin

CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

Mr Neilson joined ROC as Chief Financial Officer in 2007. He has over 15 years experience in accounting and finance including seven years in the upstream and downstream oil and gas industry. Prior to joining ROC, Mr Neilson held senior finance management roles in Caltex Australia, as well as working in banking and chartered accounting.


 

Chris Way
CPEng, BEng (Mech), BSc (Geol)

GENERAL MANAGER OPERATIONS

Mr Way joined ROC in 2001 as a Consultant before assuming the role of General Manager Operations in 2002 and is responsible for all ROC’s drilling operations.

Mr Way has over 25 years of upstream oil and gas experience having held various drilling engineering positions in Canadian oil companies and senior drilling management positions with Australian-based companies including TCPL Resources, Esso Australia, Ampolex and Cultus.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) from the Technical University of Nova Scotia and a Bachelor of Science (Geology) from Acadia University.


Neil Seage
B Eng (Hons), BA, MBA, Dip App Fin


CHIEF RESERVOIR ENGINEER / CORPORATE HEALTH, SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT MANAGER

Mr Seage joined ROC in 1997 and is responsible for reservoir engineering as well as health, safety and environment activities. He has over 30 years experience with Exxon Corporation, Bridge Oil, Parker & Parsley Australasia Limited and New Zealand Oil and Gas Pty Ltd experienced in reservoir and petroleum engineering including production operations, process engineering, gas marketing, safety and environment management and strategic planning.

Prior to joining ROC, Mr Seage was primarily involved in onshore and offshore Australian interests, but also on international projects in the Philippines, Indonesia, Argentina and New Zealand.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) from the University of New South Wales and Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University, and Diploma of Applied Finance from the Security Institute of Australia.


 

Tim Clifton
MA

GENERAL MANAGER - ANGOLA

Mr Clifton joined ROC in October 2006 as General Manager, Angola.

Mr Clifton has over 20 years international experience. Prior to joining ROC, he worked for 10 years in the British Foreign Office in Africa and Eastern Europe before joining BHP Billiton Limited in 1997, where he held several operational and business development roles in Africa, the Middle East and India. He has extensive experience in both the petroleum and the mining sectors and managed operations in a number of remote locations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and Master of Arts both in Modern History from New College, Oxford.


Ron Morris

GENERAL MANAGER - BEIBU OPERATIONS

 Mr Morris joined ROC in September 2008 as General Manager, Beibu Operations.

Mr Morris has over 30 years of International and North America experience working as a Petroleum Engineer with Chevon Texaco and OriOx Energy Associates Ltd in a number of Executive Management positions. He has worked in remote areas of Angola, China, Burma and Colombia as well as North Sea European and North American locations. He has extensive operational experience, both with new developments and existing fields. Prior to joining ROC, he worked for Momentum Energy as Director of Special Projects and Transition Services.

He is a member of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and is past chairperson of the Aberdeen, Scotland and Shekou, China Sections and was a member of the UK and US SPE Councils.

He holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
