The Blane Oil Field was discovered in 1989, with ROC purchasing a 15.24% interest in the licence in 1999. Pipelines and flowlines to the Blane field subsea wells were completed in 2007 and production commenced near the end of that year.
In the last financial year, Blane’s two production wells produced a total of 4.2 MMBOE. Reservoir performance was strong and gas lift was implemented during 1Q 2009. After repairs to a number of small subsea leaks during 2009, the gas lift has been back online since October 2010.
